WhatsApp: Charl was unable to draw cash this morning, so we borrowed a little more money from our hotel host and left him my passport, promising to meet and exchange money for passport Sun or Mon. Our Monrovia Airbnb host, a lawyer working for the Law Review Authority, has just spent 90 minutes driving us from one cashless Monrovia ATM to another. Finally success, but could withdraw small amounts only, so had to transact five times, paying a hefty fee each time. Imagine living somewhere where cash is so hard to come by. Just when you think you've experienced mania, try entering Monrovia where the main road is under construction through the market area... Impossible to describe. Last night's disco raged until 3.30am. We're both exhausted from lack of sleep and cash stress. Monday is a visa run to the Sierra Leone embassy.
